The Dark Knight is a superhero movie that was released in 2008. It was directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale as Batman, Heath Ledger as the Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent and Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth. This movie has been nominated for 11 Academy Awards, winning 4 out of them: Best Picture (2), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Heath Ledger) and Best Editing.

The story revolves around Batman trying to stop the Joker from taking over Gotham City with his crime syndicate called “The Mutants”. He tries everything he can think of but nothing works out until he gets help from an old friend named Jim Gordon who becomes Commissioner after Bruce Wayne’s retirement from being Batman

12 Angry Men (1957)

12 Angry Men is a 1957 American film about a jury deliberating on the fate of a defendant. The story focuses on the arguments put forward by the jurors and their attempts to reach a verdict.

The setting is an actual court room in New York City, where twelve men discuss whether or not Henry Fonda should be convicted of murdering his wife. The film was based on Reginald Rose’s teleplay for Playhouse 90, in which it first aired as an episode titled “The Trial”. The play was adapted by Reginald Rose and Richard Brooks for Columbia Pictures’ screen adaptation; Brooks directed both versions.[1][2]

12 Angry Men has been preserved in the National Film Registry at Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.[3]

Schindler’s List (1993)

Schindler’s List is a 1993 American epic historical drama film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes and Caroline Goodall. It is based on the novel Schindler’s Ark by Thomas Keneally who also wrote the screenplay for this movie. The book won the Literary Award at the New York Book Festival in 1992 and it was made into an Oscar-winning movie with 7 Oscars including Best Picture which has been considered one of Spielberg’s best works thus far.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Pulp Fiction is a 1994 crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis as two hitmen who rob a mob-connected pawn shop in search of $100,000 in unmarked bills that they believe are hidden inside the safe.

The story opens with Vincent Vega (Travolta) walking up to his boss Marsellus Wallace (Vince Vaughn) and telling him he has collected all their money from their last job – but only $20k of it was actually there! Marcellus reveals that he has been tracking down someone else’s stash: “I have been looking for Mr White lately…he owes me some money.”

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) is a fantasy film directed by Peter Jackson. Released in 2003, it won 11 Academy Awards and was nominated for 14 others including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. The movie is based on J.R.R Tolkien’s book series which includes The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy that were written between 1937 to 1949 before they were published as one volume in 1954 under his pen name “John Ronald Reuel Tolkien”.

Fight Club is a 1999 American film based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher, and stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter. It tells the story of a man who becomes involved with an underground fight club in order to survive after his world begins to fall apart around him.

The film was a commercial success at the box office grossing over $100 million worldwide against its $25 million budget making it one of Fincher’s most commercially successful films as well as one of his personal favorites among fans

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is directed by Sergio Leone and stars Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef. This western film was released in 1966. It has a runtime of 161 minutes with an average rating on IMDb of 8/10 based on over 120 reviews from users who have given it a rating. Its box office gross was $25 million making it one of the most successful films ever made at that time.

The film tells a story about three men who are hired to bring a dead horse back to its owner but soon find themselves caught up in an epic struggle for power between two rival gangs led by Tuco (Eastwood), whose ruthless nature makes him an ideal leader for his gang’s vicious operations along with his own brother Angel Eyes (Wallach).
